Photography Artwork

Some of you may have noticed that a new page appeared on my website : "Artwork".

As a photographer, I recently decided to mix BDSM and photography, both my passions.

This first serie is called "Objets fétiches".

A fetish (derived from the French fétiche; which comes from the Portuguese feitiço; and this in turn from Latin facticius, "artificial" and facere, "to make") is an object believed to have supernatural powers, or in particular, a human-made object that has power over others. Essentially, fetishism is the emic attribution of inherent value or powers to an object.

The very first use of the word fetishism concerns the worship by non-Western peoples of idols or fetish objects supposed to be endowed with power.

At the turn of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, the term undergoes an extension of the semantic field to the sexual domain. It takes its erotic significance in 1887 in Alfred Binet's publication Le Fétichisme dans l'amour, in which the psychologist describes it as "intense genital arousal during the contemplation of inanimate objects. The term fetishism is well suited to this kind of sexual perversion ".
